Dela Designs is an Award Winning Architectural Design service founded in 2008 by principal registered Architect, Wasel Delawar. Wasel obtained a Masters of Architecture (UTS) , Masters of Architecture (TU Berlin) and has worked on a wide range of projects in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth) and overseas (Berlin, London). The work of Dela Designs has received national and international recognition. Their award-winning projects have received acclaim for the skill with which they redefine their contexts at multiple scales, not only realising innovative and technically robust design solutions, but enriching a project’s productive impact on its surroundings. Dela Designs is a design-driven studio which produces diverse projects in architecture, interiors and urban strategies by blending a signature collaborative process with professional talent, creative thinking and emerging technologies. It specialises in high-end residential renovations, new home construction and commercial and retail development. Its commitment to enhance and protect both the cultural and natural environments of the communities it serves is evident in the beauty and technical craftsmanship of the designs and in the long-term sustainability of its projects. The investigation of design and architectural ideas at Dela Designs involves a rich process where the tools of drawing and sketching by hand, model making, rendering, and computer associated methods are deployed. There exists no ordained methodology at which the design solution arrived. Programmatic needs, conditions of the site, and attention to the client’s desires all serve to inform this process. Our focus intensifies when we examine the spatial experience of our work. This representation allows us to thoroughly explore the architecture as it will be experienced in its built construct. We allow the process to inform, and as a result allow our language to reinforce the inherent ideas latent within every project.
