.The Delaware Juneteenth Association (DEJA) is a statewide community-based organization of compassionate volunteers, who are dedicated to helping and serving people. Our purpose is to advance the historical, cultural, educational, social, self-esteem building and knowledge of prevention. This is implemented through the provision of programs and activities to communities’ youth and families. We are the premier umbrella organization in the state of Delaware that promotes all Juneteenth and similar cultural activities by being the focal point as subject matter experts (SME). We also pride ourselves to be the go-to for other organizations in the African Heritage community that can call on DEJA. Lastly and most importantly, leadership development is our pledge to our young people, who will benefit through mentoring and helping to spread our rich historical African Heritage legacy. tat
