About DELIGHT - EU project
DELIGHT focuses on nanomaterial functionality that is activated, triggered or modulated by light. Our approach is to explore the synergies of the different nanoparticle types, functional organic and biomaterial matrices, and hybrid perovskites to create optically active nanomaterials with designed properties and to boost their potential for a broad range of applications that span from photonics over energy conversion to biosensing and healthcare. The project is based on a truly interdisciplinary approach that unites key expertise in several research fields, and leading groups Europe and America. With such unique competence we aim to develop sustainable materials for the society of the future. DELIGHT is coordinated by Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and it is a project for scientific exchange of researchers between leading academic institutions in Europe, United States of America, Canada and Argentina funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) in the Horizon Europe framework programme of the European Union. The scope is to stimulate long-term scientific exchange between different sectors and countries, giving young scientists the opportunity to broaden their horizon in long term stays at host labs, contributing to an interdisciplinary and international education.
