DELMA CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY

Delma Co-operative Society was established in 1981 under kind directives of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan - May Allah rest his soul in peace. A number of UAE nationals shared the interest to co-operate and make every effort to achieve this objective. They were prompted to protect the consumer rights and families of limited income, against the market monopoly and high prices. They were also driven by sense of co-operation and integration with the government in order to help in building and developing community work as well as other business activities. Vision: Delma Co-operative Society is keen on providing services, commodities and products in Delma Island and securing quality, widespread expansion as well as adopting well-thought pricing policy as part of achieving economic development and social security. Mission: Delma Co-operative Society strives to improve the services provided to clients and build strong consumers base. At the same time, it also makes every effort to make profits to shareholders and maintain their capabilities on the basis of cooperation and sharing in capital and profit. In addition, it also endeavors continuously to achieve the social objectives. Methodology: The Society along with its management believes in human resource and considers employees as a main factor for business success and continuity, depending upon their efforts in order to promote the Society and achieve its objectives. It also strives to measure the contributions made by the staff to achieve these objectives and link this matter to effective and fair rewards or remuneration system.
