Ensuring that those who support people who are living with dementia are skilled and knowledgeable is essential to fostering a truly person centred approach that recognises the unique needs and experiences of individuals living with dementia and understands the whole person beyond their cognitive decline is pivotal. Dementia education is a crucial aspect of supporting society to provide compassionate and effective support for those living with dementia, understanding the complexities of dementia, empowers individuals to be able to respond appropriately to the changing needs of those living with dementia. We believe, that excellent training should be accessible for all, training that is not just academic in nature but training that will give skills, confidence and a lasting impact. Excellence in teaching is about listening to the learner and supporting them on a learning journey where they can share and reflect upon their experience, regardless of their role.
