Democracy Media Network

Democracy Media Network (DMN) is a non-profit organization established by a group of journalists and civil society leaders with a purpose of contributing to enhancement of democracy, press freedom, human rights and economic development of the people and the country. Founded by experienced and aspiring journalists with a vision to set a milestone in Nepal’s media sector, we aim to carry out various activities, events and programs. Creating partnerships and networks with local media outlets in provincial and local levels will be a key initiative of the DMN. We also aspire to carry out research and studies and provide consultancy services related to media and communications, apart from forging partnership, exchanges, knowledge sharing and soliciting support from national and international agencies working for the promotion and protection of democracy and development in Nepal. We also aim to organize an annual event to recognize, felicitate and honor individuals, firms and agencies which have contributed to the democracy and development of Nepal.
