Demolition Take Down

Demolition Take Down is a research project initiated by Islander Architects with engagement sought from architects, technologists, engineers, surveyors, planners, builders and developers to understand the motivation for demolition along with current barriers faced in Ireland. The project will listen to different perspectives through an open dialogue and will raise awareness on the topic of demolition and waste throughout the industry. Through collaboration we aim to study and promote alternative actions and practices. This is a multi-disciplinary opportunity to get together and take stock of our current methods of practice, and look towards solutions to tackle demolition waste. This project is led by Islander Architects and funded through Creative Ireland’s Creative Climate Action Fund II: Agents of Change.
