Department of Estate Management and Valuation

Welcome to the Department of Estate Management and Valuation (DEMV). DEMV undertakes a broad range of professional courses which are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors UK (RICS) and The Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka (IVSL). The B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Degree Programme caters to three disciplines; Real Estate Valuation, Property Management and Urban and Regional Planning. DEMV also offers Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Real Estate Management and Valuation. Thus, the department produces qualified professionals for regional and global engagement in the Real Estate Industry through its undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. DEMV is committed to creating outstanding students in an academic environment. Students’ Clubs and the Centre for Real Estate Studies (CRES) allows students to explore knowledge and excel in their skills and capabilities. Partnerships with both local and global professional organizations provide opportunities for the students to expand their knowledge and professional competencies. The department events including students’ annual events, Research Days and the International Conference on Real Estate Management and Valuation (ICREMV) provide a broad range of opportunities for the students to enhance their academic excellence as well as their professional competencies
