Dentatus, founded in 1930 is known worldwide as a designer of systems and manufacturer of innovative high quality medical devices used in the dental field.
Already in the 1930´s Dentatus reputation was established with its precision articulators, still in use at dental universities, and the first prefabricated endodontic Classic Post, considered the gold standard in clinical practice and still enjoying a dominant market position in many international markets today.
Today the product range also includes e. g. the unique reciprocating Profin® Handpiece and its Lamineer® diamond tips for finishing and polishing, the Luminex light-conducting posts - which together with light-transmitting composites are used to strengthen thin root canal walls – as well as the fiberglass light-transmitting Luscent and Twin Luscent Anchors used for aesthetic post treatment.
Within the field of implants, Dentatus has been participating with Narrow Body Implant systems since the mid 1990's when introducing the first MTI® implant for temporary restorations followed by the Atlas® implant for overdentures and the Anew® implant for single crowns and large fixed restorations.
In 1988, Bernard Weissman, the founder and former owner of Whaledent International, acquired Dentatus AB, establishing the Dentatus USA, Ltd. division to provide direct service to the North and South American markets. The Dentatus AB factory and Head Office are located in Stockholm, Sweden and Dentatus USA, Ltd is located in New York, NY.
