Since its inception in 1971, the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) has enhanced mission readiness by fostering positive human relations throughout the DoD. That mandate has been carried to the field, fleet, wing and delta by more than 53,000 DEOMI graduates from the Armed Forces (Active and Reserve) and the United States Coast Guard.
