Founded in 1887 as the De Pere Business Men's Association, the organization has gone through many changes, adaptations and conversions in 126 years! The new De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce is a modern, future-facing organization focusing on the imperatives of community and economic development. Our vision is to be the premier membership-based organization in the De Pere area that business people join to achieve financial success and our mission is to advance the interests of member businesses through business development and community involvement to stimulate economic growth in the De Pere area The chamber’s long term goals are to meet the needs of and involve an expanding membership; to lead in marketing and promoting the De Pere area; to take a leadership role in shaping the future of the De Pere area; to encourage appropriate commercial and industrial development and new private-sector jobs; and to encourage and support resources that result in an educated work force. Growth objective areas will include: Financial Viability, Community, Economic / Business Development and Visionary Leadership.
