DEPLOYTOUR: Building Europe’s Common Tourism Data Space In the framework of the European Digital Europe Programme, supported by DG GROW, DG CONNECT and HADEA, DEPLOYTOUR is a 36-month project launched in October 2024 with the aim to create a trusted Common European Tourism Data Space. Our mission? To transform tourism by making data-sharing at scale easier, for businesses, research and destinations, to bring positive impact to visitors and local inhabitants alike. 🌟 What Sets DEPLOYTOUR Apart? As a consortium of 43 partners representative of the Tourism sector, we’re laying the groundwork for the first European-level digital infrastructure that: • Improves efficiency through streamlined information flows • Aligns service offers by better understanding tourists’ changing expectations • Drives new, innovative business models and digital transition while promoting sustainability 🔎 But what is a Common EU Dataspace? If Data Spaces are decentralised and standard-based ecosystems that enable trustworthy and sovereign data-sharing between its participants, with an established governance, business, legal and technical combined mechanisms, Common EU dataspaces federate these ecosystems to enable more discoverability of data, harmonization of certain standards and foster transversality with other sectors such as mobility, agriculture, skills, heritage, green deal, energy…. 🌍 Real Impact, Real-World Use Cases Though building such a digital infrastructure might seem ambitious, DEPLOYTOUR isn’t just theory—we’re rolling out five pilots across Europe to demonstrate the power of shared data, covering various aspects of tourism. 🔔Ready to Join us?
