We are building one of the most ambitious environmental and infrastructure projects in the world: a 7-kilometer canal connecting a 2,000 km² depression below sea level in Mauritania to the Atlantic Ocean.
This pioneering project will:
Generate 3 terawatt-hours of clean, renewable energy annually
Sustainably produce over 20,000 tonnes of fish each year
Absorb up to 4 million tonnes of CO₂, restoring ecological balance in the region
By creating a new inland sea, we aim to transform arid land into a self-sustaining ecosystem that supports energy production, food security, and climate resilience.
