Deray Apparel

Established in 2021 in Penwith Cornwall, UK. Deray was founded by brothers Harry & Scott Butterworth along with close friend Fyn Caudery. The idea started as a mutual love of the place we are lucky enough to call home, and wanting to embody this admiration and share it with others through fashion. Our ambition is to work with local creatives and illustrate through clothing how they view Cornwall. Aspiring to provide clothing that is a staple in the wardrobe. Deray is a Cornish word meaning chaos. Cornwall is a very desirable holiday destination, many picture it as endless white sandy beaches and tranquil seas. However this summery display is often short lived, replaced with the bitterness of winter as mother nature bares her teeth. Being such an exposed peninsula, Cornwall takes the brunt of unimpeded Atlantic storms. Waves that resemble mountains are frequent during the more sombre months. Winds that sting and cold that bites are all too common. Chaos. Deray.
