Established in March 2019, Derbyshire Support & Facilities Services (DSFS) is a company that’s 100% owned by Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – helping to safeguard valuable and essential services, protect jobs for hundreds of staff – and enabling the Trust to focus on sustaining a full range of core clinical services for the 400,000 North Derbyshire people it serves. Just over 700 staff in finance, IT, procurement, clinical engineering and estates and facilities transferred over to DSFS in a unique opportunity, providing an alternative option to the risk of third party outsourcing. The subsidiary will deliver real and tangible benefits in a way that does not disadvantage employees - creating opportunities to work differently with the aim of driving quality improvements, transforming services and realising financial benefits and savings. Very much part of the 'Chesterfield Royal family' our DSFS venture builds on solid NHS foundations to offer a more commercial approach that's dynamic, flexible and proactive.
