Our vision is that Derby and Derbyshire are places where people can live, work and visit without the fear or experience of serious violence.
We adopt a public health approach, which aims to bring together the whole system to identify, understand and address serious violence in our communities. We have developed a range of preventative interventions. These operate at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. The interventions seek to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors. This will result in improving the resilience of individuals, families, and communities.
