There are many stakeholders that are impacted by marketing, including sales, sales development, customer success, product strategy, operations, finance, and technology. A crucial part of marketing is aligning these stakeholders, performing diagnostics to understand their needs, and zeroing in on what the organization needs to succeed. As consultants, we typically work with CEOs of small businesses that have fewer than 50 employees. These companies typically sell to larger businesses with an average of 500 or more employees. In order to effectively help my clients, I need to be versatile and wear many hats. This allows us to help them differentiate their business, improve their competitive positioning, establish themselves as thought leaders, speed up their sales cycle, and drive revenue growth.
