DermSpectrum is on a mission transform dermatology education and eradicate misdiagnosis of skin conditions due to lack of education on skin of colour.
In 2023, we surveyed 110+ medical students from 12 medical schools, and found that medical students are, on average, almost twice as confident diagnosing skin conditions on patients with white skin compared to patients with black and brown skin.
