So how did this all come about?
Dermapenworld™’s parent company, Equipmed, was established in Australia in 1976, at a time when Australia’s first attempt at government regulated public healthcare was eroding Doctor’s income. The company’s focus was, and still is, to “assist our customers to build a profitable business”. By looking outside the box, Equipmed™ has found new ways to build sustainable medical businesses utilizing cutting edge technologies. In just under 40 years, Equipmed has not only grown into a significant independent distributor of innovative medical equipment in Australia, but into a manufacturer with global reach.
In 2010, Equipmed™’s CEO, Stene Marshall, came across a technology he knew was special. While the device was nowhere near ready for the world market at the time, Stene knew that with the right team of developers and engineers, the little machine had a world of potential. And so the Dermapen™ was born.
