Derwent Electronics Limited

Derwent Electronics Ltd was originally established in December 1990 as Derwent Electronics - a part-time sole trader business. I initially concentrated on the repair of consumer electronics and white goods, later branching out to include installation and repairs of satellite receiving equipment including contract work for a local brown goods "discount" outlet. In 1993 I started working for what was then Rees Instruments Ltd, carrying out installation, commissioning and maintenance of the Rees range of cameras used in the Nuclear industry - whilst keeping Derwent Electronics ticking along in the background. During my nearly 31 years time with the company it had several changes of ownership, finally becoming Mirion Technologies (IST) Ltd in the late 2000s. I've seen many changes in the industry during my employment with Rees/IST/Mirion, and decided in late 2023 that it was time for a change. I considered various options, eventually choosing to resurrect my part time business and make it a fully-fledged company, Derwent Electronics Ltd, which will build on my 30-plus years of experience to offer a variety of services to the domestic, commercial and Nuclear surveillance sectors.
