Descartaê

Descartaê is an open-source platform (https://github.com/descartae) that aims to provide the technological tools needed to create a database of all the waste disposal facilities in Brazil and make it accessible to everyone. We aggregate data from Government's open data projects, private waste disposal facilities databases and single inputs from our amazing network of librarians that volunteer for the cause through the Feito Na Biblioteca* project (http://www.feitonabiblioteca.org/). They work maintaining the information and as local ambassadors for their cities. * Feito Na Biblioteca is a Caravan Studios's (http://www.caravanstudios.org/) project.
