DESH Shipbuilding & Engineering Ltd. (DSEL) is a sister concern of Prantik Group (www.prantik.net) which was established in 1998 with a primary aim to perform ship repair, salvage operation, ship survey, underwater survey, load test, NDT test etc. Later in May 2008, the company entered in shipbuilding by forming a new company naming DESH Shipbuilding & Engineering Ltd. to cater the booming international & local market demand. For the last two years the company was engaged in infrastructure development and by this time it is ready with two weather proof production sheds and latest state of the art equipments. The shipyard is now completely ready to build Aluminum ship of any size, which includes pilot vessel, offshore supply vessel, pleasure boat, cruise ship, patrol boat, ambulance ship and others within stipulated timeframe at the lowest cost. Where speed and economy is the prime aim of the shippers across the globe DSEL is pioneering in this sector in Bangladesh as there is no other company engaged in building such specialized ships. The shipyard has the PQR (procedure qualification record) approved from Bureau Veritus (France) to follow the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) code and AWS (American Welding Society) code, which will ensure a quality work of highest Ship Building Standard. It is to be mentioned here that Prantik was the Pioneer in Bangladesh in building first Ocean Going Vessel, namely Barge PRANTIK under class Germanischer Lloyd in 2002.
