Design for Equitable Systems was founded as a 15-week college course at Rice University to meet the significant gap between learning about inequities and injustice and acting on them amongst college students. Since then, we’ve expanded our audience to anyone passionate about designing for a better world. Through working with +100 passionate individuals, we’ve launched projects that have dismantled the inaccessibility of period products in prisons, mental health barriers for college-age students, and educational gaps around environmental justice activism.
