Designer Energy is a biotechnology company located in Rehovot's Science park, Israel. Our portfolio of technologies unlocks the valuable sugars in non-food biomass that can be used to produce biofuels and biochemicals that can help reduce the world's reliance on petroleum. Designer Energy's technologies are all based on leveraging the remarkable cellulolytic activity of the cellulosome, discovered by Prof. Ed Bayer of the Weizmann Institute of Science and Prof. Raphael Lamed of the Tel Aviv University. Designer energy scientists and business team are dedicated to develop and commercialize the platform to produce multiple high-value bio-based products, from many types of feedstocks.
