Designers Mind founded by Kaye Preston aims to break down the stigma around mental health while promoting a message of openness and acceptance. We're championing change in the industry and want to change mindsets around wellbeing, raising awareness that making time for our physical health is so important for our mental health. The design industry is a stressful environment often marked by designers who work incredibly long hours to meet tight deadlines. The pressure to be always ‘on’ and creative is high, and expectations from leadership, clients, and personal ambitions feed into the daily stress designers are challenged with. When working under this pressure, often the simplest of wellbeing principles get overlooked. By raising awareness around mental health & wellbeing we can create healthier workplaces for designers to thrive.
