We stand for freedom, education, advocacy, and empowerment so that ALL people can live #DespiteTheDark. Despite the Dark was founded in 2018 to shed light on issues surrounding women's safety at night. Our goal is to build spaces for inclusive conversation and effective action, letting the ripple effect of awareness and shared human experience fuel the momentum of our campaign. Since our founding, we have grown to multiple chapters and reached audiences around the world. We are currently accepting partnership and grant opportunities and encourage followers to reach out through the form on our website. We are driven with big ideas, goals and momentum to continue to fiercely pursue a world where women can live Despite the Dark™.
