DE’THRI Foundation is a Section-8 Non-Profit Company registered under the Government of India, founded by the Indian Orthodox Christian laity. We are committed to advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in remote tribal villages across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. Our work focuses on integrated approaches to sustainable development through: Quality Education & Research Decent Work & Economic Growth by fostering small-scale industries and basic infrastructure development Good Health & Well-being Climate Action through sustainable agriculture and promoting ecological balance Women Empowerment through agribusiness initiatives, forming self-help groups, and diversifying economic activities We engage stakeholders and promote partnerships that drive sustainable change, particularly for the economic empowerment of women, tailored to specific community needs. In addition to our development initiatives, DE’THRI Foundation is committed to promoting historical research, safeguarding India's cultural heritage, and conserving ancient languages. We explore Eastern theological, philosophical, and artistic traditions, while also working to protect historically significant monuments. Through seminars, conferences, symposia, and other outreach activities, we foster innovative thinking, disrupt sectoral silos, and synergize efforts to make a lasting impact. At the heart of our mission is the belief in creating a compassionate community that uplifts vulnerable families, especially those living in extreme poverty. By the grace of God, we seek to build a just and inclusive society where people of all cultures and beliefs can coexist and prosper.
