Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Orkney was established in 2017 to improve links between education and work and increase opportunities for young people.
We are working to help produce better qualified, work ready and motivated young people with skills relevant for modern employment opportunities. We have a particular focus on developing the right skills for Orkney's employment market, paying particular attention to the needs of emerging sectors or sectors where skills gaps exist now, or will exist in the future.
In order to achieve our objectives, we need involvement and support from local schools, employers, parents and young people. Join us on our journey and help all of our local young people achieve their potential.
