De Versbox is een slim afhaalsysteem dat wordt geplaatst bij een lokale handelaar, zoals een slager. Het systeem bestaat uit een koelkast met ingebouwde lockers. Deze zijn verbonden met de webshop van de handelaar.
Hierdoor kunnen klanten online bestellingen plaatsen en deze 24/7 ophalen. Zodra de bestelling is geplaatst, ontvangt de klant een betalingsverzoek op zijn of haar telefoon, gevolgd door een unieke code. Met deze code kunnen ze vervolgens hun bestelling uit de gekoelde locker halen.
Zo wordt het niet alleen gemakkelijker voor klanten om op te halen op hun eigen tijd, maar ook veel sneller, omdat ze niet hoeven aan te schuiven.
Bovendien kan het ook perfect gekoppeld worden aan een online webshop.
