Dongfang Hospital was officially opened on December 12, 1999. It is the second clinical medical school of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, a direct managed unit of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a National TCM Clinical Research and Construction Unit. It is a three-level Chinese medicine hospital with complete functions and advanced equipment, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health consultation. It is a hospital affiliated to the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of Education, and a designated hospital of Beijing Medical Insurance.
