iM Financial Group

iM Financial Group is a financial holding company headquartered in Daegu, South Korea. Its flagship company, iM Bank, is one of the largest regional banks in the country, mostly serving customers in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. The Financial Services Commission has approved the conversion to become South Korea's 7th commercial bank. The group was founded on May 17, 2011, upon the Financial Supervisory Service's approval to establish a financial holding company for Daegu Bank and its two arms, Daegu Credit Information and Kardnet (now iM U-Pay). After the establishment, iM acquired Woori Aviva Life Insurance from Nonghyup Financial Group in 2015 and took over HI Investment & Securities from Hyundai Heavy Industries Group in 2018.
