Founded in 1961, the German Society of Aerospace Medicine (DGLRM) is the largest German-speaking scientific society in the field of aerospace medicine with civilian and military members from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. DGLRM is an affiliate organization of the American Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA), belongs to the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF) and is the sole shareholder of the German Academy of Aviation and Travel Medicine (DAF), responsible for the training of aerospace medicine specialists.
