All design is dictated by function, function without design does not stir emotions. Design without function is not meaningful. When we design our efforts are directed towards transcending mundane functionality, to enter the realm of meaningful, exciting design. We believe that using locally available products, making sustainable choices, in concept material and execution is appropriate for the times we live in. We like to think global but use local. Though we are inspired by tradition we believe that tradition is not in the past and not a style. We do not seek to create nostalgia through design nor evoke a conscious Indian-ness. We believe that the India of the present is our mentor and it stirs us through our clients cultural, social and personal history to our final product. Design is a process, not just a product. It is as much a means as the end. As clients, your thoughts, views, and preferences are important to the final outcome. We are all stakeholders in this process - we, our staff, you and the craftsmen on site. We believe that opulence is not extravagance of material and ornamentation in detail. Opulence, to us is space, light, and scale, luxury is in the craftsmanship. Our choices tend to be in using modest materials, but we will add rigor and context to our design. All above, we seek to create tranquility and wellbeing. We design to bring Joy.
