The Davidson Hill Venturi (DHV) is a vertical axis DarrIeus turbine inside our unique Venturi shape. Our design allows higher performance in low water speeds having previously achieved up to a 3x augmentation factor (300% increase in potential power output). This is due to the slatted diffusers effect on water flow focusing the water energy onto the turbine blades. Tests on Higher speeds 6m/s plus have achieved a 2.4 x augmentation factor. Ideal for diesel dependent remote communities who live along water courses that want to stop burning expensive fossil fuels. Due to this increase in efficiency. The DHV. design can produce power in areas previously economically unviable due to slower water flow velocities. More power output allows smaller unit to produce the same output as a larger traditional style windmill. with the advantage of being more compact!
