Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa

Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa aims to "reduce the incidence of diabetes and its tissue damage". We work in the community across greater Auckland and carry out the following: * Cook'n Kiwi - fully funded (MOH) healthy eating on a budget programme delivered to groups in the community, Train the Trainer package available. *Healthy Workplaces - fully funded (MOH) tailored programme delivering advice and practical support into Auckland workplaces. * GetWize2health - MOH funded programme offered to schools across Auckland (other areas with alternative funding). Curriculum based toolkit and training/ongoing support to assist teachers deliver practical, evidence based education to their students around making healthy lifestyle choices. * Gardens4Health - Auckland wide community gardening - support setting up, developing and maintaining community based food gardens. * Programme and resource design * Research, evaluation and reports
