The company "Diagnostic complexes and systems" (DIAСS) was founded by the Ministry of Atomic Energy and Industry of the USSR in 1990 to monitor the state of high-voltage electrical equipment at nuclear power plants. Over the 25 years of DIAСS’s work, fundamentally new methods and means have been developed to determine the technical condition of critical electrical equipment to prevent damage to it in operation and to determine a set of measures for maintenance and repair, i.e. a technology has been worked out to determine the presence of latent defects, their type and location inside the machines without decommissioning them. The method is included in the international standard "IEEE Std1436". DIAСS carries out diagnostics of the entire fleet of electrical equipment of industrial enterprises: chemical, oil, energy, metallurgy and other energy-intensive industries. We deal with the following tasks: 1) Detection of defects (partial discharges, breakdowns of insulation, increased vibrations, etc.) at an early stage 2) Prevention of emergency shutdown of electrical equipment 3) Planning for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment 4) Prevention of process disruption and shutdown 5) Energy Efficiency and Elimination of Electrical Losses Diagnostics of electrical equipment is a set of tools and methods designed to determine the technical condition and find faults. Diagnostics of electrical equipment allows, using modern devices, to determine the condition of the equipment without resorting to its "deep" disassembly. Timely diagnosis allows you to control the degree of reliability of electrical equipment, while reducing the cost of its operation and repair. Thanks to the measures taken in time, it becomes possible to avoid accidents and failure of expensive equipment.
