The University of North Carolina's debate and literary society. We are the oldest student organization at a public university in the United States.
We aim to stimulate and advance interest in parliamentary discussion; to encourage public speaking, culture, and the arts; to facilitate a free interchange of ideas; to encourage rational thought; and to promote the welfare of our University. We meet for formal debates every Monday on the top floor of New West Hall.
