Dialogue Academy for Young Women

DANA was born from the Dialogue Academy for Young Women, an OSCE-led initiative that has empowered multiple generations of young women from Prishtinë/Priština. Over the years, the academy has provided participants with tools for mediation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and leadership, while also creating lifelong friendships and professional networks that transcend political and ethnic divisions. Recognizing the need for a sustainable and structured network that extends beyond the academy, alumnae came together to form DANA—a platform where members could continue engaging, learning, and initiating change together. Since its inception, DANA has grown into an alumnae-driven space for mentorship, project collaboration, and advocacy. The Dialogue Academy Network of Alumnae (DANA) is a dynamic and growing network of young women who are committed to fostering peace, dialogue, and collaboration. As an alumnae-driven initiative, DANA connects hundreds of women leaders, activists, and changemakers who have participated in the OSCE Dialogue Academy for Young Women—a program that has, for years, provided a unique space for cross-community engagement, leadership development, and peacebuilding. DANA is more than a network—it is a sustained movement where alumnae continue their commitment to dialogue and cooperation beyond the academy, working on initiatives that bridge divides, promote gender equality, and create opportunities for young women to lead in peace processes, governance, and public life.
