Our Brew Control System is designed to take the guesswork out of coffee brewing and is an extensive upgrade from the old stand-alone refractometer. The system includes:
R2 Extract, our next generation refractometer
Microbalance, our precision coffee scale which can weigh, track flow rate and auto-timing
DiFluid Café, the app that ties it all together
The coffee community's response to our first generation made us realize that simply testing coffee extraction isn't enough to really know one's coffee. Our goal is to help users quantify their coffee preferences and reliably brew to match that preference. This requires the unity of brew tracking, extraction testing, and data analysis. DiFluid Café provides a place for users to share their results without manually entering data, thanks to its integration with R2 Extract and Microbalance. We believe the Brew Control System has the potential to launch a real Fourth Wave of coffee through the sharing of coffee data. Users will be able to learn from each other's brewing methods and improve their results together.
