According to a report by the children's charity UNICEF, there are currently more than 3.7 million children in Afghanistan who are unable to access education, with girls accounting for 60% of this staggering figure. This situation represents a pressing concern not only for Afghanistan but also for the international community, as it has far-reaching consequences on immigration patterns, including human trafficking, and poses potential security risks.
The effects of the education crisis in Afghanistan are deeply concerning, with an estimated 8 million school-aged children now requiring urgent support to access education “Save the Children”.
