dmC is an innovative studio that combines computational design, imagination, materials, and sustainability to build the future. We offer collaborative exhibitions and innovative building systems by leveraging programming, technology, and a deep understanding of architecture and robotics to emphasize sustainable practices. Our collective aims to shape the future of design by highlighting the crucial balance between computers and materiality, inspiring non-architects to engage in co-designing, co-building, and co-exhibiting, fostering a sense of collective action for a sustainable world. The construction industry is grappling with a significant sustainable problem that demands immediate attention. Construction activities are resource-intensive, high energy consumers, excessive waste generator and habitat destructor. Urgent action is required now to promote sustainable construction practices, Our studio, Digital Methods Collective, offers a comprehensive solution through our innovative approach, we provide two paths towards sustainable construction practices. Firstly, by leveraging computational design methodologies, we design structures and building systems that optimize resource utilization, minimize waste generation, focuse on integrating sustainable materials or re-using waste construction materials, and solve disassembly scenarios. Secondly, we promote a collaborative and interactive approach through our curated exhibitions and workshops. We foster a sense of shared responsibility and creativity by actively involving participants in co-designing, co-building, and co-exhibiting. Through these collaborative spaces, we inspire participants to embrace sustainable design principles and encourage collective action toward a more sustainable world.
