Digital Office

Digital Office is a not for profit organisation delivering digital projects and initiatives in NZ. Our aim is to increase digital use and support environments where everyone has the opportunity to use, understand and benefit from online technologies. The Digital Office developed the Otago, Dunedin and Canterbury Digital Strategies as well digital plans and strategies for local authorities, businesses and communities. The Office also led the winning Gigatown Dunedin campaign, a year long, intensive nationwide competition. Digital Office delivers a Business Growth programme to increase business confidence and participation in online services. The programme has been operating for 3 years with over 1,400 business participating consisting of Digital Enablement Training, Business Workshops, Digital Journey Events and a Mentoring Programme. Digital Enablement Training, is a Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) endorsed training programme that is available nationwide. The Digital Office developed this programme to provide businesses with an understanding on how technology is changing traditional business models, provide an insight into emerging and current online technologies. In addition we also provide training programmes for businesses to understand online services and products. This includes social media, cloud computing and digital strategy development. Community Projects. We know that there is a growing digital divide in our community; there are some who are confident and at ease using technology and those who don’t have the access, the skills or understand the benefits. A key goal of the Digital Office is to work to reduce this digital divide in NZ. We enjoy helping, and we enjoy working in the community making a difference.
