For example it is not uncommon for a 465 SqM (5,000 SqFt ) warehouse in cold areas of S. Alberta Canada to require solar energy injection of 24,000KWt/hr with a heat core total storage capable of 4.2MW thus effectively storing summer heat for use in winter or dark times. Backup heat systems such as condensing boiler or hydronic heat pumps are normally required by code.
