SOLAR THERMAL HEATING WITH INTERSEASONAL STORAGE.
Using a Patented Solar Heating and Storage system, Digital Solar Corp. (DSH) is able to offset 50-100% of residential or commercial heating needs. This also offsets massive amounts of GHG (Greenhouse gas) emissions.
Primarily this applies to new builds however many hydronically heated facilities can be retrofitted.
Of necessity the thermal storage of large, winter capable thermal arrays, must be equally huge and is typically designed into the sub-slab foundation in an insulated environment. For example it is not uncommon for a 465 SqM (5,000 SqFt ) warehouse in cold areas of S. Alberta Canada to require solar energy injection of 24,000KWt/hr with a heat core total storage capable of 4.2MW thus effectively storing summer heat for use in winter or dark times. Backup heat systems such as condensing boiler or hydronic heat pumps are normally required by code.
Dozens of systems are in operation over the last decade where the storage system has been perfected.
We provide the design and specialty items for most buildings, local dealers (wanted) provide the local touch, warranty and installation capability. Training is provided for installations, and design integration. Often this can be integrated with new hydronic heating designs
Starting in early 2019 DSH will offer a custom control system with wireless access and historical production data. In addition a pre-built Stainless Steel pump station will be included. A drainback design ensures the solar collection system shuts down on power failure.
