The digital age is upon us and is unavoidable, we are told.
Yet despite attending many summits and reading blogs, many still do not know what to do.
On the one hand, creating new and disruptive business models such as Uber, Spotify, AirBnB, Taskrabbit, Viber, Alibaba, Netflix, etc., is valid BUT NOT exactly for many existing companies with established business models, limited budgets, and regulatory compliance issues.
On the other extreme, when digital information is viewed under the lens of corporate information, organizations are lulled into a false sense of complacency. And it is likely possible that management will be led to conclude that digital transformation is just business as usual.
Nothing could be farther from the truth.
