Dimopoulos Estate is located at Xino Nero of Amyndeon, in noth - western Macedonia, Greece. It was founded at 2015 from Panagiotis Dimopoulos to continue family tradition in winemaking. The winery is surrounded by 55 ha of private owned vineyards. The soils are sandy sandy-clay with south exposure and they are planted in 640-680 m altitude. The climate of the area is characterized by cold winters and hot summers. The combination of high altitude, soil and north winds at the area, gives us a unique terroir for the production of low yield red grapes. The sub regions where the vineyards are located are called “Kokkina Chomata” (Red soil), "Konti Karidia" (Short Wallnut tree) and "Toumba".
The varietes planted, are the red ones Xinomavro, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot noir, Montepulciano, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot and the white ones Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer and Assyrtiko.
