About Dinow.inc

Dinow, Inc. is a biotechnology venture company jointly established by a professor and a master’s student in a laboratory studying DNA damage at Ibaraki University. Professor Asako Nakamura, who worked as a researcher at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the U.S., was involved in the establishment of the γ-H2AX assay, a method for assessing DNA damage using H2AX, a protein related to DNA damage repair. Professor Asako Nakamura has been conducting research on the social implementation of DNA damage assessment, motivated by the desire to somehow resolve the “strong anxiety about the effects of radiation” felt by people affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Our goal is to create a society where people can understand the effects of radiation on their bodies more clearly and manage them by themselves using DNA damage assessment technology.
