Disability Network/Lakeshore (DNL) works to create engaged citizens and livable communities. We do this through our mission of connecting people with disabilities to resources and opportunities while building communities where everyone can participate, contribute, and belong. All written materials and electronic communications notify individuals that alternative formats, reasonable accommodations, and/or auxiliary aids and services are provided upon request. What We Do Help people become more engaged in their communities by: * Improving access in the home and workplace * Providing support for employment attainment and retention * Helping individuals develop an independent lifestyle Create partnerships that will build a better community by: * Encouraging businesses to become more accessible * Educating businesses and employers on regulations related to accessibility * Providing employment readiness training and job shadows for youth
