We are a group of volunteers who have been establishing services and information to empower men, women and couples to find and create their personal identities. We offer men's retreats, men's and women's support groups in Utah County and we are developing online resources and training programs. Watch this space for new developments!
We specifically work with people who may be going through a life transition or a particularly difficult moment in their lives. Changing a job for example can be a challenge to our identity. Retirement, marriage, becoming a parent or an empty nester, moving countries and so much more can cause us to rethink who we are. We are about building a foundation on our who more than on our what.
A true and authentic self is something that is constantly evolving as we relate to others, as we are impacted by our environment. We filter and we choose those aspects that become part of our foundational identity. We see so many of the problems that the world is facing that could be addressed by a strong personal identity. Our increasingly polarized world is because we think we have to defend who we are and we feel threatened. The stronger I am the less I will worry about others with differing beliefs or viewpoints.
