Discover Manufacturing

Discover Manufacturing is West Michigan's convening and organizing body around manufacturing talent for West Michigan. Discover Manufacturing is using data and credentialing to align and connect talent. Discover Manufacturing maintains real-time knowledge of local training programs, enrollment and capacity, as well as employers' talent needs. Connecting the two aligns employer talent demand with supply. We need to get students excited about viable, long term careers in manufacturing. In order meet demand, we connect with school counselors, teachers and parents to dispel misperceptions about careers in manufacturing. Through your active participation in Discover Manufacturing, you can stay up to date on current training activities and state workforce development initiatives as well influence training dollars, local community college curriculum and other training programs.
