Disentis Roadmap

The Disentis Roadmap sets out a 10-year strategy for unlocking and linking vast quantities of essential data on the world's species, currently 'trapped' in research literature. It arose from a symposium held at the 7th century Disentis Monastery in the Swiss Alps in August 2024, to follow up the 2014 Bouchout Declaration on Biodiversity Knowledge Management. The roadmap has gathered support from many of the leading research institutions, scientific infrastructures and networks dealing with biodiversity information. This page will provide a focus for the growing partnership and share information as the initiative develops.
